Alan Childers
Alan is known for his insight and probing questions.
Growing up as a military “brat” and serving in the US Army and Navy for 20 years before retiring, he has traveled to many parts of the world, encountered many varieties of people and experienced a few things along the way. This has given him firsthand knowledge of diverse cultures and peoples, both at home and abroad. This has served him well as a volunteer with San Diego Pagan Pride from 2004-2010, during which he served as operations chair for 5 years and was elected to the Board of Directors for 2 years.
Looking for the way things are connected, he is constantly probing the edges and it is not unusual for anything from theology and history to quantum theory and channeling to be discussed in the course of one conversation. This search has enabled him to blend his metaphysical and secular experiences, knowledge and ideas into a working framework for both spiritual and personal growth and understanding.
As an ordained minister, Alan has preformed weddings, hand-fastings, and crossing ceremonies. His grasp of the human condition has enabled him to be an effective counselor, and is sought both in and out of the pagan community for advice and guidance.
He is a published poet, dream interpreter, and artist. He does empowerment photography, oracle work, and is the webmaster for The Village Witch. He loves to see people grow beyond their expectations and is recognized by the community as a teacher and leader.
Alan currently resides in San Diego, California, with his wife and son. He and his wife also have four children from prior marriages, all of them teenagers.
