Rev. Valera "Doe Eyes" Childers
Rev. Valera Childers has been a practicing witch for the past 12 years. She was raised in San Diego, California, where she currently resides with her husband, Alan, and their son. She also has 3 other children from her first marriage as well as a step-son.
Valera stays connected to Nature through growing her own herbs, adding a little of her own magic to every dish she cooks, and creating custom-blended incenses to suit any need. She takes great pleasure in creating anything that brings happiness, harmony, balance and joy into her home and life--and especially loves to share her creations with others. Weaving the web of her community and bringing people together is one of her biggest passions. She believes that by bringing everyone together we can create the energy of tolerance, understanding and acceptance.
She is an ordained Wiccan minister and is a Reiki master in the tradition of Diane Stein. In her healing practice she combines her Reiki skills with her gift for balancing the chakras, providing the receiver with a sense of balance and wholeness. She is a professional tarot reader and channel and delivers insightful and beneficial information to her clients.
As co-coordinator for San Diego Pagan Pride 2006 and 2008, she feels that the experience gives her not only a better understanding of human nature, but a better appreciation for others' paths as well. She feels that by serving her community, she can bring them together as one big family.
